About GROW! Community Garden

Our MISSION...

We connect people in our community by providing a place to engage mind and body in nature and organic gardening. We are an inclusive group that values the enthusiasm and experience of people of all ages and skill levels.

  • The concept of a community garden in Manitowish Waters was presented to interested people in the summer of 2018
  • The Town Board approved a half-acre garden site at the Community Center/Airport complex in September of 2018
  • Construction began in late May, 2019
  • In 2024, five new beds were added for a total of 75 beds tended by 110 gardeners.
  • In 2025 the last plot was built, completely filling the garden
  • GROW! Community Garden is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization
  • All funding is through donations and nominal plot fees.  No taxpayer dollars have been used
